About this policy
Engine AI Labs LLC operates Servn. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Servn iPhone app, visit servnapp.com, or contact us. Servn provides general wellness and nutrition guidance for adults aged 18 and older.
For privacy questions or requests, email support@servnapp.com. Our Terms of Service explain the conditions for using Servn.
Account and personalization information
When you create or use an account, we handle your account identifier, email address, display name if provided, sign-in method, verification status, and account timestamps. Passwords are protected using one-way hashing. Sign in with Apple provides an Apple identity and may provide your name and an email address, including an Apple private relay address.
We maintain session and account-security information to keep you signed in, verify email addresses, support password recovery, and revoke sessions.
Your personalization may include preferred proteins and carbohydrates, foods you avoid, allergies or restrictions, body or appearance goals, favorite foods, and disliked foods. Freeform text may reveal health-related or other sensitive information. Share only what you want Servn to use, and avoid including information about other people without their permission.
Conversations, goals, and Challenges
Conversations. We store your messages and Servn’s responses on our servers with your account. This includes conversation identifiers, titles, timestamps, and processing status so you can revisit conversations and recover pending or failed turns. The app also keeps a limited local conversation cache.
Current Goal. Your Current Goal is linked to your account and stored on our servers. You can edit, replace, complete, or end it. Ending or replacing an active goal stops its use as your active context; historical goal records may remain until account deletion.
Challenge Mode. In this version of Servn, Challenge state and history are primarily stored on your device for the signed-in account. Relevant Challenge details and check-in context may be sent through our servers to generate guidance. Challenge-related text included in a conversation may also be saved as part of that conversation. Your device-local Challenge History does not sync across devices.
App Store and subscription information
Apple processes App Store payments for monthly and yearly subscriptions. We receive and store Apple-derived transaction identifiers, subscription status, renewal and access dates, and related purchase evidence to verify purchases, provide paid access, and resolve ownership or billing-status issues.
Apple handles your payment details under its own policies. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple. A minimal subscription ownership record remains after account deletion, as explained under Retention and deletion.
Device storage and operational information
The app uses iOS secure storage for sensitive session information. Ordinary app state, preferences, Challenge History, conversation caches, and synchronization or deletion-recovery state use local app storage. These ordinary stores do not have the same protection as secure session storage.
Our website, servers, and infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, request times, request information, and operational or security logs when you connect. We use this information to operate and protect the service and investigate errors.
Servn does not use advertising SDKs or track you for advertising.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, secure, and manage your account.
- Generate guidance using the context you provide and maintain your conversations and Current Goal.
- Verify subscriptions, provide access, and prevent purchase-ownership misuse.
- Send account emails, answer support requests, and carry out your deletion or privacy requests.
- Maintain service reliability, investigate misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.
AI processing with OpenAI
Servn asks for your permission before using OpenAI to process relevant information for AI guidance.
Servn uses OpenAI, a third-party AI service provider, to generate responses. We send your relevant current text and selected context. Depending on the request, this can include selected conversation history, personalization, your active Current Goal, and Challenge or clarification context.
You can turn AI data sharing off from Settings → DATA & PRIVACY → AI data sharing. Turning it off prevents new AI sharing. Information already transmitted for previous requests cannot be recalled through this control.
Withdrawing permission does not automatically delete existing conversations or other Servn account information. Conversation deletion and account deletion remain separate controls.
Servn requests that generated responses not be saved for later retrieval through OpenAI’s API. This does not eliminate OpenAI’s own retention for operations, security, abuse prevention, or legal requirements, and it is not a promise of zero provider retention.
Read OpenAI’s API data controls for its processing and retention practices. Deleting information within Servn does not necessarily remove records already subject to a provider’s separate retention requirements.
Email, service providers, and disclosures
We use providers for hosting and infrastructure, database storage, AI processing, account email, and App Store purchases. These include Vercel for website hosting and API deployment infrastructure, Neon for database services, OpenAI for AI processing, Zoho for transactional email, and Apple for authentication and purchases. Providers receive information relevant to their role in delivering these services.
We expect service providers handling personal information to protect it appropriately and use it only for the relevant services, consistent with applicable agreements and law.
Verification codes, password recovery, email-change messages, and account-security notices are sent from noreply@servnapp.com. Contact support@servnapp.com for help. If you email us, we process your address, message, and any information you include to respond and handle your request.
We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, secure the service, prevent fraud or abuse, or establish or defend legal rights.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and application information to provide the service, maintain your account, and meet the purposes described here. Retention varies by the type of information and the controls you use.
- Conversation deletion: you can delete one conversation or all conversation history. This removes the selected server-side conversation content and updates local history through the app’s deletion flow. Separate personalization, Current Goal, and Challenge data are not deleted by that action. Limited synchronization and deletion-status records may remain.
- Account deletion: in the app, open + → Settings → Delete account and confirm. The process removes normal account-linked application data from our active database and clears the known account’s local data through the app’s cleanup flow. If a request or cleanup is interrupted, recovery may be needed.
- Subscription ownership: a minimal ownership record remains after account deletion to prevent an App Store purchase from being reassigned to a different Servn account. This record does not preserve your conversations or personalization.
- Signing out or uninstalling: neither deletes your Servn account or server-side information. Signing out clears the stored session and local conversation cache, but does not perform the full account-deletion cleanup.
Deletion is not a promise of immediate removal from every backup, operational log, or provider system. Residual information may remain under infrastructure retention practices or where needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
Deleting your Servn account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it separately through Apple. See subscription support for instructions.
Security
We use safeguards such as protected password storage, secure session handling, and account verification and revocation controls. Sensitive session information is kept in iOS secure storage. No system or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Protect your device and account credentials. Do not send passwords, verification codes, or payment card details to support.
Availability, international processing, and age
Servn’s initial app is for iPhone. Availability is limited to supported App Store storefronts and service-provider regions; it is not offered everywhere. Our providers may process information outside your country, where privacy rules may differ. Contact us for questions about international processing.
Servn is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. It is not intended for children or teens. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information to Servn, please contact us so we can review and address it.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can update supported account and personalization fields, manage your Current Goal, delete conversations, and request account deletion in the app. See Servn Support for the available controls.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may have the right to withdraw it. You may also have the right to raise a concern with your local privacy authority.
Email support@servnapp.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and some requests may be subject to legal exceptions or information we must retain. We will explain applicable limits when responding.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as Servn or its practices change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
